THE IMPACT OF POLITE PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO PAY FOR THEIR TRAVEL WITH CHALK
On the 4th of July KM will orchestrate as many people as possible to attempt to pay for their travel with chalk rather than money (Bus and train journeys for example). Independence Day for the USA is a celebration of the existence of the USA, and inevitably by association, the values of capitalism. To many in the world however these values are becoming increasingly problematic. Chalk is not salt and has no historic lineage to salary and currency.
GENETIC WHISPERS
During this period of time, an internet crucible will be formed by JE which allows messages of love and affection to be transformed onscreen into 3D DNA structures. These structures, those of the sender and the receiver will collide, their DNA mix, and a new genetic creation be generated. The newly conceived entity, will propagate as an independent free form.
PROBABILITY
Through a series of unexplained phenomena, NK and KS will unsettle the prevailing scientific consciousness. Identifying dormant beliefs and superstitions NK and KS will undertake to revitalise these through an elaborate campaign of evidence gathering and clandestine provocations. The veracity of these is unimportant, what matters that they will be believed sufficiently to be considered a possibility.
MEASURE
CH offers a break in the daily pattern of people lives. By distributing active photographic measures, which measure light and duration, participants are given a period where they can undertake any activity which is important to them. This alloted timespan is to last from when the unfixed photographic measure is removed from its envelope to the time that it becomes fully exposed and the image on it fades.
THE CROW'S TOWER
SL will create a system that will harness and demonstrate the capacity of ‘things to work out alright in the end’. Through setting up a scenario where the survival of a community of cells will depend upon the balance of destructive disintegrating words versus creative constructive words expressed through media transmissions in England each day, SL hopes to use the existence of a resolved positive future situation, to the benefit of the present.
